Bloodied but unbroken, Jotaro Kujo gathers his resolve in this dramatic original production cel from the climactic final episode of the 1993–1994 JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure OVA. His lowered gaze, blood-streaked face, beads of sweat, and iconic hat create an unusually expressive image of the series’ formidable hero.
Jotaro is the central protagonist of the Stardust Crusaders storyline and one of the most recognizable characters in Hirohiko Araki’s long-running saga. The dark shadows and tightly framed composition capture a rare moment in which his outward composure gives way to grief and controlled fury.
This cel is screen-matched at approximately 11:55 of Episode 13 overall, originally released as Episode 6 of the first OVA series, “DIO’s World: Farewell, My Friends.” Following Polnareff’s desperate attack, the badly injured swordsman entrusts the battle to Jotaro and urges him to avenge Avdol and Iggy. Remembering Iggy’s sacrifice, Jotaro mutters “Bastard” as his grief hardens into determination. Moments later, he employs the dangerous strategy of having Star Platinum stop his heart to deceive DIO.
The setup includes the unstuck matching production douga and a matching copy background. The cel is numbered A14 and comes from Cut 179. It is an original hand-painted acetate production cel photographed during the creation of the OVA, not a reproduction, print, or fan-made artwork.
