An original, one-of-a-kind anime cel setup from Golden Boy Lesson 6, “Animation is Fun!” featuring Kintaro in a memorable behind-the-scenes studio moment. This is an A7/B7 two-layer production cel used in the making of the 1995-1996 A.P.P.P. OVA adaptation of Tatsuya Egawa’s cult classic. It comes with unstuck matching partial douga pencil drawings and a non-matching color copy background from the same episode.
The cel remains in very good vintage condition with minor trace line fading consistent with age. A few small specks of paint are missing from parts of the tracelines and hairline. The douga is also in very good condition with minor creases and wrinkles. Stored in a climate-controlled environment.
A strong collector piece from the final episode, this setup stands out not only for Kintaro’s expressive pose, but for its unusually meta subject matter: anime production art depicting anime production itself.
