La Blue Girl is an erotic anime and manga series created by Toshio Maeda, a pioneer of the genre. Maeda is also known internationally for his influential 1986 title Urotsukidōji. La Blue Girl was released as a direct-to-video (OVA) series in the early 1990s and has become a cult favorite for its bold visual style and supernatural storytelling.
