Original, one-of-a-kind production cel used in the making of the Sailor Moon R anime series which were released from 1993 to 1994 in Japan.
 
This cel features a gorgeous close-up image of Sailor Moon. A1/C1 key cel has been in our collection for close to 25 years and one of the best we have seen in all that time. Comes with two unstuck matching douga pencil drawings and a hand-painted Sailor Moon production background which is stuck to cel. The last image is the screenshot of this scene from the SMR episode 88 showing the light effects. The talented Kazuko Tadano, Character Designer for Sailor Moon R, was the Animation Director for Episode 88 (only one of five epsides in SMR she directed). Also includes a COA from our gallery.
 
Cel is in great condition with some moderate trace line fade as expected in Toei cels of this vintage. There are two pieces of tape between these two layer cel at the top.
