We are proud to offer this original, one-of-a-kind anime production cel used in the making of Studio Ghibli's Whisper of the Heart aka Mimi wo Sumaseba, the classic 1995 film directed by Yoshifumi Kondō, written by Hayao Miyazaki and based on the 1989 manga of the same name by Aoi Hiiragi. It was the first theatrical Studio Ghibli film to be directed by someone other than Miyazaki or Isao Takahata. Whisper of the Heart was Kondō's only film as director before his death in 1998. Cels from this anime are ultra-rare and possibly the hardest to find of any Ghibli production.
Beautiful centered image of Seiji Amasawa asking Shizuku Tsukishima to marry him from the memorable scene at the end of the movie. This is an A9 cel. Cel is in excellent condition with minimal trace-line fade as expected in cels of this vintage. Minor signs of wear is common in an actual production cel. Comes with a blank douga paper with registration holes which is stuck to cel. There are tapes holding cel and paper together at three locations (both corners at top and middle at bottom) as shown in pictures. Including a Certificate of Authenticity from our gallery. Image size is 7 inches by 6.75 inches. Overall size is 9 inches by 11.75 inches. Come protected
