This is an authentic hand-painted production cel with non-matching copy background featuring Achika from the beautiful, romantic first Tenchi Muyo movie, Tenchi Muyo in Love (1996).
A gorgeous image of Achika Masaki, Tenchi’s mother, shown in her high school days. This scene appears during the early portion of the film when Tenchi and his friends are mysteriously transported back in time to the 1970s. There, they encounter Achika as a student, unaware of her future as Tenchi’s mother. It is a key emotional moment, as the story blends romance and destiny while Tenchi witnesses his mother’s youthful energy and kindness.
Collector’s Note: Achika cels are especially rare, as she appears only in this film and is a pivotal character in Tenchi’s backstory. Unlike the more common images of Ryoko, Ayeka, or Sasami, Achika artwork rarely surfaces on the market, making this a highly desirable piece. This cel captures her in a clean, centered pose with excellent expression and detail, embodying the warmth and elegance that define her character.
