Up for sale is an original, one-of-a-kind anime douga used in the production of the Star Light Angel short film from Robot Carnival. The designs were done by legendary animator Hiroyuki Kitazume (Char's Counter Attack, Bastard, Moldiver, Gundam ZZ, and many more).

Gorgeous close-up image of the female lead as she reacts to being given a necklace by the robot hero. B14 key number. Douga is beautifully highlighted with red, orange, yellow, green, and blue as shown. It is in very good condition with some minor creases and paint transfer (some extra paint on the back of the paper as well). No rips/holes. Including the certificate of authenticity. Image size is 8 inches by 9.5 inches. Overall size is 10 inches by 12 inches. Come protected for shipping in a fresh polypropylene bag.

Robot Carnival has been compared to Disney's Fantasia in feeling and setup, in that it is a collection of nine shorts by several different directors, put together, and containing only music (with a few exceptions). The difference, as the title suggests, is that this feature focuses on robots. It's wrapped by a Katsuhiro Otomo (creator of Akira) opening and ending. This 1980s anime classic was an inspiration for the Netflix hit show Love, Death + Robots.
